Mother's Day

My favorite words yesterday were "...because it's Mother's Day."
Whenever I wanted something I would use those words to try to get my way. It worked pretty well, I may have took advantage of that :)

JD spoiled the poop out of my last weekend shopping in Las Vegas; he bought me a couple pair of CUTE jeans that we found for half off- Bonus! Vegas shopping is awesome, where else can you find Miss Me jeans for $50? We have been on the search the last of couple months for an Alexander Mcqueen purse clutch and we found one!!! I think he was more excited than I was. He whipped out he credit card before I could even say my famous words "honey, I want that!!"  No, it was not $4,000. It's a knock-off, but I personal think it is cuter than the real ones. I LOVE it!! Anyways...that stuff was my Mother's Day gifts :)

Of course that wasn't it... Mother's Day morning JD took Oakley and I out for breakfast. Oakley got ice cream with her pancakes! What?! I thought it was MOTHER'S Day, not daughter day! She shared. After that we went flower shopping for our yard. We planted lots and lots of pretty flowers!

My favorite part: Later that night we went to a park. I went down the slide a couple times with Oakley then made my way to a bench that was in between Oakley and JD. I look to the right and see Oakley hopping, jumping, and skipping around the play ground and chasing the birds; happy as can be. I look to the left and see JD hitting softballs with his new bat; happy as can be. Right then my eyes teared up because I was happy as can be. This is what being a mom and having a family is all about! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ME!!

Then, I realized that Oakley wasn't sliding down the slides very fast anymore. Yep, she peed in her panties and on her dress. Awesome. Happy mother's day to me! I am that mom that lets her child make the parks unsanitary.

I didn't take any pictures, but I do have a couple from the last month that come with great stories. (sorry this is a long post, like all of them!)

Don't you love riding the ride-on lawn mower? My girls do!

The next weekend I heard Kadynce whining; I thought she was stuck. Nope. She saw daddy out back mowing the lawn without her. How dare he!! I told her he was almost done and she can ride next time. She grabbed her shoes and followed me downstairs saying "I want shoes, please" over and over again. I laughed and put her shoes on for her. She continued to look out the window and whine and point. Poor girl, all she wanted to do was ride the mower; her favorite thing ever!!

Then there was Oakley asking me to help her put ANOTHER tattoo on. I told her I was busy and I didn't think she needed another one. Twenty minutes later I couldn't find her. I heard a water drip in my bathroom and found this:

She didn't need my help after all. She had a wet towel and did it herself! It didn't turn out so well so I helped her with a new one and even got one myself :)

We were taking my car through a long car wash that we thought would be fun for the girls. Oakley loved it! We looked back to see how Kadynce liked it and we saw this:

She wasn't as thrilled. She had her eyes covered the whole time! When we told her it was over she peeked one eye out at a time. SO funny!!

We were watching golf yesterday and my dad and step mom had just got Oakley a pair of golf clubs. They were talking to her about how she can be a golf pro when she grows up. Telling her about the money, fame, and golf hat she gets. She replied with "and high-heels?" So...maybe golf won't be her thing!

Our favorite past time is all jumping in the car and heading up the canyon for a drive to look for animals. The girls say "more deer, more deer" and put their fingers together to sign for "more". I think we got a couple little hunters on our hands :)

It is never a dull moment with these little ones and I couldn't ask for a better man to share it with!! Love my family, love being a mom!
