Happy Birthday Kadynce! "2"

Kadynce is 2 today!!

I can't even begin to express how blessed I am to have her in my life. 2 years ago JD's life changed forever when his beautiful daughter was born. My life also changed forever because I knew I would get to share the parenting role.

People always ask me if it's hard to have a "step-daughter". I tell them no, I treat her and love her just as I treat and love my own daughter. Oakley has a sister and a best friend. My parents have another grand daughter. They love Kadynce the same amount they love Oakley.

We are all so happy to have Kadynce make us laugh and bring us joy!

A view from Kadynce's world as she turns 2 today:

I love to flip and climb on everything! They are starting to call me 'Monkey'!
I love to play with "Oatey" (Oakley).
I repeat everything that everyone says! (even bad words).
I'm starting to put sentences together.
I am very polite. I always say "tank you"
My favorite word is "Dat" (dad). Datty loves when I say it over and over and over again. So much that sometimes he ignores me :)
I love shoes.
I love to play with babies.
I love to ride the lawnmower and anything else with a motor.
I love camping.
I eat a lot and always ask for milt and juice.
I HATE being in the car for a long time.
Sometimes I have a temper and throw fits.
I get a little confused and always wear my sunglasses upside down!

Pinterest Tested

I've been testing a couple Pinterest ideas and will share some of them :)

I am a little embarrassed to show you some of the "before" pictures, but whatev! We have a fabulous life and cleaning is not fabulous so I don't do it often. Call me gross.

And, I just realized that some of my pics are missing from my phone. I guess that's what happens when you let a 3 year old play with your phone.

1. Stinky towels-  There is a way to get them un-stinky and un-mildewy!
Wash them in hot water plus a cup of vinegar. Then wash them again with hot water and baking powder. Don't use any laundry soap. Then, dry them in the dryer, of course. My towels usually smell yucky after the first use, but I have used my towel more times than ever and it doesn't stink!!! Woo Hoo!! IT WORKS!!!

2. Clean your washing machine-  Fill your washer with hot water and add quart of bleach to it. Let it sit for an hour. Then, run the washer on a long load. Repeat this step with a quart of vinegar. While the vinegar and hot water are soaking, get a rag to wash the outside of the washer off.  IT WORKS!!

3.  Clean your Microwave- Put a cup of vinegar in a microwaveable bowl and cook for 5 minutes. It releases the gunk and makes it easier to wipe off. IT WORKS!!

4.  Clean your dishwasher-  My dishwasher was a little stinky from the milk in the sippy cups and it started making the other dishes smell. SOOO I put....I bet you can guess....Vinegar in it!  Put about a cup of vinegar in a dishwasher safe bowl and place the bowl in to the empty dishwasher. Run the load hot! IT WORKS!!

4.  Clean your bathtub-  Put vinegar and Dawn dish soap together in a squirt bottle (half and half). Spray it all over your bath and shower then let it sit for about an hour. (Add water if it doesn't squirt good) It comes right off! No more scrubbing my face off trying to get the dirt ring clean! IT WORKS!!  (before and after pics gone)- I wonder what other pics she's deleted???

5-  Shaving with baby oil-  I just tried this this morning so I'm not exactly sure on the results yet.  Shave your legs with baby oil to keep the raiser on sharper for longer.  It says right on the baby oil bottle that it keeps up to 10 times more moister in!!! Why haven't I been doing this before? My legs feel great right now! But watch out, it's a slippery little sucker!

FOOOOOOOD!!!!!-

I made "energy bites" last night. I don't know if they gave me energy, but they are goooood! I like to call them "energy balls" because it sounds more funny :)  They are a much healthier replacement to no bake cookies.

1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup peanut butter (or other nut butter)
1/3 cup honey
1 cup coconut flakes
1/2 cup ground flax seed
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl then put it in the fridge for a half hour. After that, roll it into balls. Big balls, little balls, deformed balls, blue balls....however you like them!

I replaced chocolate chips with a tsp of cocoa, but I don't think the cocoa was even necessary because it already has plenty of sweetness to it- Simply because I made them with a lot of tender, love, and care. Just kidding. But really, they don't need the chocolate!

I didn't put a 1/2 cup of ground flax seed in it because I couldn't find it at the store. That was a waste of my precious time!

The moral of my post is that I LOVE VINEGAR!!! and balls.
I am so obsessed with vinegar these days! I even use it to soak sippy cups and Oakley's pee panties. Takes the stank right out! (and helps with the skidmark stains).
